About us

Let Us Tell You Our Story

Welcome to the home of Agri-Analyse, one of North America's leading grain, forage and feed testing laboratory.

Since our agricultural testing laboratory first started out, we have always stayed on the forefront of technology in order to provide the best service possible to our customers. Agri-Analyse agricultural testing laboratory began in 1984 with the purchase of one of the first NIRS- Near Infra-Red Reflectance systems dedicated to forage and feed testing in North America. The importance of NIRS to the dairy farming industry for the analysis of hay, haylage, corn silage and other feedstuffs changed the entire approach to the optimization of forages in ration balancing forever. We have been instrumental in assisting the agricultural industry in using laboratory data for rational use of home grown crops or purchased feeds.

Our agricultural testing laboratory have since expanded their services to include high tech wet chemistry methods including “ICP” for the analysis of minerals in forages, feeds and byproducts. Fast and accurate forage and feed testing using “ELISA” techniques for the detection of mycotoxins is another area where we have excelled. Over the years, we have developed and used other specialized instruments and techniques for the analysis of agricultural crops.

What we do

Experts in feed testing

Our customer base includes livestock nutritionists, crop researchers, veterinarians, feed manufacturers, dairy farmers and virtually all other types of agricultural producers. In whatever way they are involved in the forage or feedstuff area, we strive to provide our customers with highly reliable feed testing and laboratory analysis services. To that effect, Agri-Analyse agricultural testing laboratory is renowned for accuracy, fast turnaround of test results as well as a highly personal service. Whether you're a farmer testing haylage or a mineral manufacturer testing large quantities of feedstuffs, our agricultural testing laboratory wants your business. We guarantee you cannot find a better combination of speed, price and courtesy when it comes to the forage and feed testing industry. To better serve the ever-growing needs of our customers, Agri-Analyse recently invested in an ultra-modern near infra-red (NIR) spectrophotometer.

What will our equipment do?

The new fully modernized spectrophotometer permits us to continue to offer SAME DAY analysis reports on a broader range of forages and grains than was previously available. In fact, few labs have their technology refined to this level; and by upgrading the number of parameters we now test, you have the option of obtaining much more specialized data within a faster time frame. It's important to test what you're feeding WHILE you're feeding it. Did you know that a one week delay in receiving your test results can end up costing you $1000 or more in lost milk production (based on a 40 cow herd). And while speed is critical to accurate results, our upgraded NIR instrument (new NIR: NDFD 240, 120, 30 and 24 hrs, ash, fat, starch, sugar and Fermentation profile. ) further increases accuracy via the extra equations we've added to allow for a wider range of results.

Our latest instrument instantly measures moisture, crude/available/soluble proteins, energy, ADF, NDF, lignin, calcium, phosphorous, potassium and magnesium. As well, we've calibrated our instrument to predict energy values for cattle using the most scientifically advanced formulae presently available.

What does the future hold at Agri-Analyse?

In the near future, we will be offering more types of tests on different feedstuffs - depending on customer demand, and of course technical feasability. As well as constantly monitoring new industry developments. Our primary goal is to continue offering timely, accurate analysis results to our customers using the most advanced techniques available.
